             On occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Armenia, the Embassy of Japan in Armenia, in cooperation with Hovhannes Sharambeyan Centre of Popular Creation will co-host the Japan Foundation traveling exhibition “ Beautiful Handicrafts of Tohoku”.
This exhibition reminds us once again of the distinctive appeal of Tohoku’s heritage of arts and craft. The displays present works of various genres—ceramics, lacquerware, textiles, metalwork, wood and bamboo crafts, etc.—allowing visitors to enjoy the diverse and exquisite world of Tohoku traditions. This exhibition has been organized in 32 places of 19 countries since 2012, and now Armenia will be the twentieth country.


Period: 7th of September (Thu) *– 8th of October, 2017 (Sun)

                 *On 7th of September the exhibition will be for the invited guests only.

                 It will be open to the public from 8th of September.

Admission: The museum admission fee is 700 drams with no additional charge of this exhibition.
