Visa Application Process
Step 1: Preparation of Application Materials
Armenian nationals are required to obtain a Japanese visa to travel to Japan.
Please complete all of the forms and documents which correspond to your visa type.
Documents for Visa Application
For tourism:
(1) 2 visa application forms
(2) 2 photos (cm 4.5x3.5)
(3) Passport
(4) Documents to prove payment ability of travel expenses
• Bank statement for the last 3 months
• Certificate of Employment (specified tenure of the current job, job title and salary)
(5) Passport copy
(6) Itinerary Japan
(7) Flight itinerary with the flight/ship number and date of arrival and departure to and from Japan.)

We shall not be held responsible for any cancellation fees/charges incurred for your travel arrangements.
Incomplete Application cannot be accepted.
“Incomplete Application” means lack of documents or documents that are not filled out correctly or are left blank.
※If one of the required documents is missing, the application will not be accepted.
※ If the information on the application form or the submitted documents are contrary to the facts, the visa will not be issued as a false application.
※Please prepare your individual Travel Itinerary based on your actual travel plans.
Step 2: Appointment Booking and Application Submission
The Consular Section of the Embassy of Japan in Armenia will only be available to those who made a reservation in advance.
Please make a reservation by e-mail at least 1 week prior to your desired visit date.

(1) To book an appointment, please write an e-mail to the consular e-mail address (embjp@yv.mofa.go.jp), which includes the following information:
E-mail subject: Visa Application Reservation (name)

【Desired date and time of the visit】
【Planned travel date】
(2) We will reply to you with a reservation confirmation by e-mail. Please come to the Embassy at the designated time to submit the application.
※ Please note that reservations are not confirmed if there is no reply from the Embassy.
Step 3: Passport Collection
In general, it takes at least 5 business days to issue a visa. Embassy`s holidays are not counted as "business days."
※ Sometimes the issuance of the visa may take more than 5 business days. So, we recommend you to apply for a visa approximately 1 month before your departure date.
Working hours of the consular section:
Monday-Friday: 10:00-13:00 and 14:00-17:00 (Except for the Embassy Holidays)
