Ambassador Yamada paid a courtesy call to His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.

On March 28, Ambassador Yamada paid a courtesy call to His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission. During the meeting, His Holiness Karekin II thanked Japan for its support for the protection of the Apostolic Church's cultural heritage and Ambassador Yamada's contribution. In response, Ambassador Yamada expressed his appreciation for Armenia's support when Japan faced difficulties, such as the Great East Japan Earthquake, and expressed hope for further deepening of the emotional bond between the two countries and the people.
