Foreign Minister's Commendation Honoring Iroha Center and Hikari Center

On August 20, 2021, the Government of Japan announced the recipients of its 2021 Foreign Minister’s Commendations. Armenian-Japanese Center of Educational and Cultural Exchange “Iroha” and AJP “Hikari” Scientific, Educational and Cultural Centre were awarded from Armenia.

The Foreign Minister's Commendations are awarded to individuals and groups of outstanding achievements in international fields, to acknowledge their contribution to the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries. The Commendation also aims to promote the understanding and support of the Japanese public for their activities.

The two organizations’ contributions leading to the Foreign Minister’s Commendation are as follows.
●Armenian-Japanese Center of Educational and Cultural Exchange “Iroha”: Promotion of Japanese Language Education in Armenia
●AJP “Hikari” Scientific, Educational and Cultural Centre: Promotion of Japanese Culture in Armenia

Iroha Center and Hikari Center have been awarded the Foreign Minister’s Commendation in recognition of promotion of mutual understanding between Japan and Armenia through their long-term activities.
