The Government of Japan will invite undergraduate/graduate students and young professional from Central Asia and Caucasus region to participate in the MIRAI (meaning ‘Future’ in Japanese) Program.
Please read the MIRAI 2021/2022 Outline carefully before applying, and fill out the online entry forms from the below link and upload the necessary documents. The application deadline is 7 November 2021.
Please note that visiting Japan may not be implemented due to the situation of COVID-19 or unforeseen events.

[Participants]
Undergraduate/graduate students majoring in law and young law professionals (lawyers, prosecutors, government officials etc.) from 8 countries of Central Asia and Caucasus region aged from 20 to 30 years old.
[Schedule]
The program is implemented in English and consists of two parts:
(1) Online pre-exchange program (two times in January and/or February, to be announced later)
(2) Program in Japan (6 days in February or March 2022. All participants are required to attend the online pre-exchange program before they leave for Japan. Program in Japan includes visiting Tokyo and one more city and discussions with Japanese young students and think-tanks as well as lectures on Japanese culture and history.)
[Outline of the Program]
“MIRAI 2021/2022” is a short-term youth exchange program to invite graduate/undergraduate students and young professionals from Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus for intellectual exchange among students from across Japan and Europe as well as promoting mutual understandings among them.
