New Border Measures (27) (Reviewed border measures from March 2022)

 As of March 1, 2022, new foreign nationals will be allowed to enter Japan based on the new measures (27) concerning the strengthening of waterfront measures. These are new arrivals who are staying for a short period of time (3 months or less) or for a long period of time for purposes other than tourism, such as business or employment, etc. At the time of visa application, the person in charge of receiving the foreign national is required to present a certificate of acceptance obtained through a prescribed application at the Immigration Control and Refugee System (ERFS).
