Exchange of Congratulatory Letters between Prime Ministers and Foreign Ministers on the Occasion of the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations

 On September 7, Japan and Armenia marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations on September 7, 1992.
 On the same day, Mr. FUKUSHIMA Masanori, Ambassador of Japan to Armenia, and Mr. Vahe Gevorgyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia exchanged congratulatory letters between Prime Ministers and Foreign Ministers of Japan and the Republic of Armenia in Yerevan. Ambassador Fukushima and Deputy Minister Gevorgyan congratulated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, as well as welcomed the fact that Japan and Armenia have promoted people-to-people exchanges and have advanced cooperation in various spheres such as disaster risk reduction and culture, since the establishment of diplomatic relations.
 In Tokyo, Ms. YOSHIKAWA Yuumi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Mr. Areg Hovhannisyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Japan, also exchanged the letters.
