Applications are Now Open for the MIRAI Program
2023/9/1
The Government of Japan is pleased to invite young people who are expected to play an active role in the future to participate in the MIRAI program (MIRAI: Mutual-understanding, Intellectual Relations and Academic Exchange Initiative). The program aims to promote understanding of Japan and develop friendly relations between Japan and other countries by providing opportunities for intellectual exchange with Japanese students of the same generation and researchers.
This year, we accept applications from students (university students, graduate students) aged between 20 and 30 from the Central Asia and Caucasus regions under the themes of "rule of law (visit Japan format)" and "discovering regions and cultures (online format)." The application deadline is September 11, 2023. Please read the guidelines carefully before applying.
Also, please note that the program may be postponed or the implementation period and method may change depending on the situation of COVID-19 and the occurrence of unforeseen circumstances.
【Theme】
1. Rule of Law (visit Japan format)
Participants will visit Tokyo and other cities, exchange views with experts, interact with Japanese university students, and learn about Japanese history and culture.
2. Discovering Regions and Cultures (online format)
Participants will virtually travel around Japan and learn about Japan's beautiful natural environment, traditional culture, and society through lectures and online visits.
