Courtesy visit to the Speaker of the RA National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan

         On February 5, Ambassador Yamada made a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the RA National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan, who took the office on January 14. Ambassador Yamada conveyed congratulatory messages of Tadamori Oshima, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan and Chuichi Date, The Speaker of the House of Councillors of Japan. Ambassador Yamada and Ararat Mirzoyan exchanged views on the developments of bilateral relations that have been progressing steadily since the establishment of diplomatic relations. The Speaker of the National Assembly touched upon the development of the parliamentary relations and noted that Japan-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group is being formed since the elections in December. Ambassador Yamada expressed his expectation for early ratification of the Agreement on the Investment Liberalization, Encouragement and Mutual Protection between the Republic of Japan and Armenia and its entry into force.
