Sep7(Thu) Opening ceremony of Traveling exhibition “Beautiful Handicrafts of Tohoku, Japan”

        The opening ceremony of the traveling exhibition “Beautiful Handicrafts of Tohoku, Japan” took place at Hovhannes Sharambeyan Centre of Popular Creation on September 7th.The exhibition marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Armenia and was organized by the Japan Foundation and Embassy of Japan in Armenia, with the cooperation of Hovhannes Sharambeyan Centre of Popular Creation, the Ministry of Culture of the RA.
   In his opening speech, Ambassador Taguchi stressed the importance of further strengthening the bilateral relationship and expressed his sincere gratitude for hosting this exhibition.
   The ceremony was attended by RA Deputy Minister of Culture Ms. Arev Samuelyan, RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Armen Papikyan, 9 deputy members of Japan-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group, including the head of the group Mr. Samvel Farmanyan and more than 60 guests. After the opening speeches and ribbon cutting, the exhibition was open to the guests and they were attracted by a variety of beautiful handicrafts and artworks from the northern part of Japan, Tohoku.
