Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects FY 2017 : Signing Ceremony of “The Project for Establishing the IT Vocational Center in Ghukasavan Village”

On February 23rd, 2018, a Signing Ceremony of “The Project for Establishing the IT Vocational Center in Ghukasavan Village” within the frameworks of Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects was held at Ghukasavan Village of Ararat Province. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Eiji Taguchi (Ambassador of Japan to Armenia) as well as Mr. Ara Vardanyan (Head of Ghukasanvan Community Municipality), Mr. Levon Mkrtchyan (Minister of Education and Science), Mr. Samvel Farmanyan (Deputy of the National Assembly, Head of the RA NA Armenia-Japan Friendship Group), Mr. Aghvan Vardanyan (Deputy of the National Assembly), Mr. Aramayis Grigoryan (Governor of Ararat Province) and other guests.
The project aims to provide vocational training to youth in Ghukasavan Village as well as its surrounding communities where over 3000 youth reside under high poverty and unemployment rate, by establishing the IT Vocational Center in the village. The Japanese Government will assist for constructing the building and fully equip the building with IT devices. The project is collaborated with “Leadership School Armenia” who has designed the concept and will provide substantial education program to the center.
